What are you doing in school?
"I have defeated school! I got out with my bachelor's degree in Spring of 2020."
What do you currently do for work?
"I work at Pall Corporation, a filter manufacturer in Timonium. I recently slid into a full time position working inventory and doing cycle counting!"
How long have you been singing in choirs?
"I've been in a choir of some sort and off since fourth grade children's church choir."
What is your favorite musical memory?
"Playing and singing music with my nieces and nephews has and continues to be my favorite part of music! The little people are genuine and seem to appreciate music for what it is better than anyone else, in my opinion."
Do you have any special talents or interests outside of music?
"I enjoy building computers and doing fine electronics projects, such as building custom lightsabers from scratch."
Who is your favorite composer?
"Austin Richard Post."
Who's your favorite non-classical musical artist?
"Dave Van Ronk."
What song have you not been able to stop listening to?
"Light My Candle by Adam Pascal and Rosario Dawson."

"Breakfast for dinner only."
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
"Christmas, because everyone is home."
If you could have a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
"Easy - I would talk to Mark Hamill and just pick his brain about Star Wars."
What's your favorite thing about singing in Lux?
“Definitely the people in it. It's fun to spend time with everyone. It is also nice to have an outlet to sing too, since I don't usually get to in a choir setting."
What’s your favorite song you've sung with Lux?
"Gravedigger [arr. Timothy Takach]. I love the timbre and the low voicing."
If you were a cupcake what flavor would you be?
"Grape. It's my favorite artificial flavor and I feel like it would blow people's minds. Unconventional? Yes. You'd just have to do it right."
What's the most interesting fact about you?
"I'm a mutant! My eyes are two different colors due to a genetic mutation, one is blue and one is green."
Ben Busch has sung seven seasons with Lux. He works in manufacturing in Timonium, Maryland. He is a horn player, church pianist and guitarist, and a member of the DMV-based freelance folk trio Goose Train.
