How're we doing? We firmly believe that it is crucial and necessary to advocate for the rights of all people in the face of violence and disorder. We condemn any and all instances of police brutality and stand in solidarity with the Black community.
At this time, we are committing to revitalizing and enhancing our support of Black musicians everywhere. In the coming months, we plan to have serious conversations with Black performing artists and organizations in the DMV about how we can best support them. We hope that this project will be our first tangible step towards that goal, but we know that through our privilege and through our inexperience, we will make mistakes. Part of our commitment to these changes means doing the legwork on our own, but we know that we can learn more and progress further with the help of those who are more experienced and more knowledgable than we are. To that end, we've set up the contact form to the right of this messages (below on mobile). Black artists have contributed immeasurably to so much of the music we love so dearly, and it is time that we give them the support they need in order to receive justice. Black Lives Matter. |
