"I'm an Office Engineer at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and a color guard instructor at Huntingtown High School." How long have you been singing in choirs? "Fifteen years." What is your favorite musical memory? "Lux sang The Road Home in honor of my high school choir teacher who passed away. It was beautiful and meant a lot to me and everyone who knew him." Do you have any special talents outside of music? "I knit and crochet!" Who is your favorite composer? "Joan Szymko, because she's an amazing female composer who writes amazing music for women." Who's your favorite non-classical musical artist? "Taylor Swift." What song have you not been able to stop listening to? "Taylor Swift's Folklore and Evermore albums." Breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast? "Breakfast for dinner, unless it's pasta for breakfast." If you could turn anything purple, what would it be? "My hair!" What's your favorite holiday and why? "Fourth of July because of the fireworks, everyone wears the same colors, and it's during the summer." What's your favorite thing about singing in Lux? "I just really love to sing!" What's your favorite song that you've sung with Lux? "It's between Entreat me not to leave you [by Dan Forrest] and Silence [by Kevin Memley]." What's the most interesting fact about you? "I'm an identical twin!" |
Taylor Hinds has been a part of Lux since the summer of 2015. She has been involved in the arts her whole life, both as an actress and singer. Being a part of Lux has always been a treat and something she looks forward to. She is so happy to be able to sing again!
