As we begin to close out our season, we'd like to extend our thanks to Christ Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, PA, Gettysburg College, and our entire audience last Sunday. What a wonderful way to end our season! Audience members traveled from as far as Washington, D.C. to gather for a wonderful afternoon of music, and for the final performance of our Journey of Life program. We hope you enjoyed experiencing it as much as we did performing it! Enjoy some photos from the day captured by our own singers below: We're incredibly proud and excited to announce that we will be featured as Classical MPR's Featured Choral Album of the Week! Lux now stands alongside other winners such as Voces8, Tenebrae, The Sixteen, Blue Heron, The Crossing, and more. Tune in at 12 pm EST (using the "Read More" button below) to listen to selections from our newest release Now Ye Heavenly Powers.
While we have had to say quite a few goodbyes this past week, we are ecstatic to welcome back soprano Eby Buscher from Urbania, Italy! As an artist in the Si Parla, Si Canta summer program, she took intensive Italian classes, studied Italian art song with elite vocal coaches, and performed opera scenes in recitals across Italy. We're excited for Eby to join us for the July portion of our season: she'll be singing with us on our recording project this month, and you can see her in our July 22 concert! Enjoy pictures below of her time in Italy. Last weekend, we continued our goodbyes by watching as Hannah left town from her administrative internship at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed her time in the Nation's capital thoroughly, and hopes to come back in the near future. While she goes back to her home in New Jersey now, we can't wait to see her again for our concert in Gettysburg. Below you'll find a slideshow of a few pictures from her internship. Thanks for a wonderful season, and see you soon, Hannah! |
