We've updated our Photos page, newly equipped with photos from our June 17 performance of A Journey of Life. Friends, thank you all so much for the tremendous support we received at yesterday's concert; from the standing ovation to the compliments we received afterwards, to the excited buzz in the room. Whether you donated, bought our newest release, Now Ye Heavenly Powers, or simply came to enjoy the concert with us, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Enjoy some scenes (and mid-concert selfies!) from the night in the slideshow below! If you couldn't make it to the concert, last night, but still want to support our future projects, please consider donating here! Want to see where our donors have taken us so far? Check out our newest album, Now Ye Heavenly Powers, here! A few days ago, we posted on our social media that big news was coming soon, and now it's here! On June 17 (the day of our concert!), we'll be releasing our second album, Now Ye Heavenly Powers. Including some of our favorite recordings from the last two seasons, you'll be getting twice the music as our last release (and twice the rumbly notes, too!). First dibs go to our audience this Sunday, so be sure to mark your calendars and be there for the release, which feature some of this generation's most talented composers, and some classics from the choral repertoire you're sure to enjoy. See you Sunday! Congratulations to Anthony Jones, who is leaving today for his summer program in Novafeltria, Italy. He'll be spending the majority of the summer studying and performing in this year's La Musica Lirica opera program. In Italy, he'll be performing the roles of Normanno in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and the Secondo Commissioner from an Italian production of Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. He's very eager to take this step forward as an artist.
Just a few days ago, soprano Eby Buscher got on a plane to return to Italy for her summer program, Si Parla, Si Canta. While in Italy, she'll be taking intensive Italian classes, performing opera scenes in recitals across Italy, and studying Italian art song with elite vocal coaches. Eby will be joining us for the July portion of our season, when Amanda Densmoor leaves for her program. Congrats and have fun, Eby! |
